Frankly speaking I heard this gist a while back. But I decided not to publish it because I wasn’t sure then.

However the gist has resurfaced again (read  Daily Times here) . It is the story that former Miss World Agbani Darego and powerful Rivers State politician Timi Alaibe are getting married soon.

Mr Alaibe who headed NDDC in the past proposed to Agbani and she accepted.

Mr Alaibe is a widower who lost his first wife to cancer a few years back, while Agbani Darego is the first (and so far the only) black woman to win the Miss World beauty pageant.

They have allegedly been dating quietly for a while now.

Update:

Apparently Agbani got wind of the engagement gist and has denied the reports.
The beauty queen tweeted this today...
