Miss Dominican Republic Dethroned For Being Married

25 year old Miss Dominican republic Calin Duran has been stripped of her crown for being married. It was discovered that she has been married to a man identified as Emad Adl since June 6th 2009.
 The 5'11' stunner who now holds the title for shortest reigning beauty queen ever, had previously represented the country in the Miss Tourism Queen International beauty pageant last year in China. She however lost out to the reigning queen from China Miss Kantapat Preeradachainarin

She released this statement that was read by her lawyer at a news conference;

like a single woman, without thinking of myself neither materially nor spiritually married,’ said the statement. The statement also said the marriage was brief, and the couple had begun annulment proceedings. She expressed regret at keeping it away from the organisers calling it a ‘fruit of my inexperience.’

The first runner up Dulcita Kieggi has been crowned the new beauty queen.
