List Of 2012 Grammy Nominees

The top nominees in the 2012 Grammy awards are Kanye West,Adele, Bruno Mars and Foo Fighters.

Other nominees include Nicki Minaj and Jay Z's protege J Cole.

Apart from the fact that the number of categories were  slashed , this year  men and women will compete together in vocal categories for pop, R&B and country, instead of having separate categories for each sex.

 The 54th Grammys will be held Feb. 12 in Los Angeles

Cobhams Asuquo Welcomes Baby Boy + Ik Osakioduwa Is A Proud Father

 

Ace Nigerian music producer Cobhams Asuquo has every reason to celebrate right now. The immensely talented music producer is now a father.

His wife, Ojuolape Veronica (Nee Olukanni) gave birth to a bouncing baby boy on Wednesday afternoon in a US hospital.

In related news Tv/ Radio personality Ik Osakioduwa and his wife Olohi welcomed a beautiful baby girl on November 28.

Congrats to the proud parents.

Animalistic Host Dave Salmoni

Finally I was able to see Dave Salmoni’s Discovery Channel show the other night!

Dave is a host and producer of Discovery Channel’s Rogue Nature.

I think it was last year when I first saw him at the Tyra show, promoting his own animal show. He was Tarzan!!!

After watching that show, I just had to google him. I have found this clip of him on YouTube where he showers with Lions!

Going back, I’ve watched his show, expecting a lot of shirtlessness. The episode was about elephants in South Africa and the damage they are doing to people in there. I have learned that a lot of people gets killed every year just because of elephant attacks. Like, OMG right? It’s a weird way to die for most of us. Dave bravely studied elephant behavior by tring to get near them and even near packs of elephants. There were times when I felt how dangerous it was to be near wild elephants as Dave was almost attacked by one. I feared for him because one animal host from Discovery Channel as well died when he was attacked by an alligator. Oh no, please not Dave! He’s too hot to be eaten by animals!

There was a short period when Dave wore a sleeveless shirt but then the show ended and there wasn’t a shirtless Salmoni in sight. :( LOL

Oh well, it was fun though and I’ve learned something new from him. :)

Are You Ready for Titanic 3D? - Titanic 3D Official Trailer

Prepare to fall in love again.

From the Director of the successful 3D film Avatar, James Cameron, Titanic will be making its way to the movies now in 3D.

Titanic became the highest grossing film of all time back then. It was dominated by Avatar last year by the same director. I am thinking that Titanic will be able to return to the number one place again with the 3D version. (Based on Wikipedia's highest grossing film of all time list)

I am sure that the people who already saw the original movie will come back to relive the story and new generation of moviegoers will enjoy it as well.

Soundcity's Banji Osunseemi Is Dead

Music station Sound City has reportedly lost one of it's staff.... Banji Osunseemi .

Reports have it that the talented post production editor collapsed in his bathroom, but he sadly gave up the ghost before he could be rushed to the hospital .

He died last week Wednesday on the 23rd November 2011 at around 6pm.

May his soul Rest in Peace.

LA Galaxy on Their Way to the Philippines!

The LA Galaxy Team, David Beckham's football club, will be holding a friendly match against the Philippines' Azkals Team this December 3 at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

I am hoping to get a free ticket to the game. Although I am anticipating that security will be really tight and that the fans won't actually be able to take pics with Becks, it would be cool enough to see him in person.

If ever I won't be able to watch it at the football stadium, it would still be nice to watch it on TV because you really can't watch the whole game at the football field, unless you've got binoculars.

The unidentified female above got more than what she bargained for when she was accused of stealing a Blackberry Phone.

As seen in the picture her boobs were fondled by the guys who 'caught her' with the stolen phone.

No matter what she did, i don't think this is right. If she indeed stole the phone, the guys should have handed her to the appropriate authorities. This is just wrong!!!.

Uniben Student Get 19yrs Jail Term

An Asaba high court presided over by Justice T.C. Makwe have sentensed one Chima Anthony Akpalaba, a final year law student of Uniben to 19 years impreasonment for kidnaping a 7 years old child – The daughter of the Chief Accountant, Government House Asaba in February of 2009.
He bagged five years imprisonment for conspiracy to commit kidnapping; five years for kidnapping; another five years for child stealing, two years for demanding property with menances and two years belong a secret cult group, thereby totaling nineteen years. The sentence would however run con-currently.
The convict along with his co-travellers in crime had demand for N150 million ransom from the father of the girl but was arrested at a hideout in Okpanam by men of the State Security Service SSS.

    CBN governor Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has been named Forbes Africa magazine person of the year.

The recognition which is the first ever, saw Sanusi beat Nobel Peace Laureate Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and Africa's richest man of the year Aliko Dangote to claim the top spot.

How did you know he was your man?
Nneoma: I am not a friend keeping type, but when I meet my friend, I know. We have been friends and I think I saw what I like in a man in him

 What are the qualities you saw in him?
Nneoma: Chinedu is very intelligent and smart.

What was your parents reaction when you told them you are getting married to Aki?
Nneoma: They were not surprised. My dad was like 'waoo, you go ahead if he is your choice.
Would you say you it is a natural love you have for Chinedu?
Nneoma: Yes. I just love him naturally.
What do you really want changed in Chinedu?
Nneoma: Nothing to be changed. He is okay for me.
Many people believe you are going for his money and celebrity status?
Nneoma: That is cheap talk. They can say whatever they want to say. I married Chinedu Ikedieze, I did not marry Aki.

I'm so sorry that I've been away for so long. So many things have happened .....won't bore you guys with them, however my experiences have made me appreciate life and has reinforced my belief that it is really a gift.

By the way i met some policemen who changed my perception about the Nigerian police force...... there are still some good cops down here in Naija.

The Deadma Challenge

I am soo addicted to Pinoy Big Brother!!!

I’m just so lucky that my schedule allows me to watch both the Unliday and Unlinight episodes of it. Well, not really every time (because some times I would be missing the Unliday) but most of the times, I am able to watch it. I just wish that the Unlinight would be not soo late (9pm would be great so it’d be done by 10pm- I have classes at 7am).

Today’s Unliday show was about the newly transferred Housemates(HM) to the Unliday house- Mommy Luz and Seichi.

Mommy Luz felt the difference of the two houses on her first day because she was used to the “family” bonding of the Unlinight HM’s whereas in the Unliday house, it’s more of a “brotherly” bonding, as Mark Luz puts it. She was looking for a “father” figure in the Unliday house because in her former house, she was the “mother” figure. But afterwards, she just realized that she just has to know the HM’s one by one by playing a game.

Seichi, on the other hand, was so happy that he got transferred back to the Unliday house! it showed so much because he was so cheerful and more vocal the following day. Seichi revealed that he actually missed Pamu!

OMG! I was so kilig because of his revelation!!! I remember before, Seichi kept on flirting with Jaz (who recently had her Voluntary exit) and treated Pamu just like a normal HM. But Pamu already showed signs of liking Seichi then. And now that Jaz is gone, Seichi realized that he really likes Pamu!!! Eeeep! Sigh. Boys. They love sexy girls but doesn’t really understand that fun and bubbly people like Pamu are the right ones for them. Seichi showed his affection to Pamu by playing with her and kissing her at times.

I think that Seichi and Pamu would make a great couple. They are both funny! Who knows? They might even be the next loveteam after Melai and Jason.

Big Brother then announced that the challenge for the week will be to deadma or ignore random new things around the house. The HM’s prepared for the challenge by practicing to ignore things. I loved how Seichi and Pamu practiced ignoring each other! There were a lot of kilig moments.

The time has come. Big Brother called Seichi first to the confession room and there at the side was a blind barber! Knowing Seichi as the person who reacts too much, I have anticipated a lot of screaming and shouting. But no, he was successful! He really was able to ignore the guy with all the things the barber pretended to do to him- cut his hair, put shaving cream all over his face and stuff. Seichi remained calm and steady the whole time and pretended that the barber wasn’t there the whole time. It was real funny!

Next person to enter the confession room was Pamu. She was giggly the whole time! She was able to ignore the barber but there was a lot of giggling still. Just the same, the barber pretended to cut her hair and put shaving cream on her face and underarms! I was laughing out loud literally! She was hilarious!

Oh I can’t wait for tonight’s Unlinight show!

Carlos Agassi Now

Ever wondered where Carlos Agassi is now?

He’s one of ASAP’s now defunct boy group “The Hunks”. During The Hunks’ time, he gave meaning to the group’s name. He was the hunkiest guy for me because he already has a defined body compared to Diether, Jericho and Piolo!

So if ever you’re wondering how he looks like now, here he is! He’s still hot as ever.

Can you see those abs? I can safely say that he’s got the most huge abs I’ve ever seen!

I’d still love to see him on TV/movies today, he just needs to skip the rapping stuff.

I just hope that he becomes active in showbiz again…
