Yesterday the city of Benin in Edo State was on fire as the youths in the state attacked Hausa/ Funali residents in the state. Several lives where lost. They burnt a mosque, the bureau de change building on Sakponba road and the University of Benin main gate.
In a swift reaction the Edo Youth Coalition (EYC) condemned the attacks and blamed the state's security agencies and the Edo state government for not taking necessary steps to prevent the crisis.
