Oprah...'Is Kanye West The New Fairy Tale’? Watch A Sneak Peek Of Oprah's Interview With Kim Kardashian
Kim K and her family granted Oprah an interview. She talked about everything from her marriage ,to if Kanye West is the love of her life. The interview is a two part interview.
More and watch a sneak peak of the interview (first part) after the jump.
When asked if she married Kris Humphries for ratings, Kim responded, ‘We don’t do anything for ratings. I think anyone who knows me knows that I fall in love hard. I would’ve had an extravagant wedding anyway, to end that relationship was a risk in itself to lose ratings and I had to take the risk to be honest to myself.‘
Kim also said she was sorry to anyone that she may have hurt, including Kris Humphries and revealed that she went into a deep depression for four months after the split. She admitted that the whole 72 day wedding fiasco, although an embarrassing experience has made her a better person and she doesn’t look at it as a regret, but a lesson learned.
Earlier in Kim’s interview, she told Oprah ‘I was in love, I wanted the life that I always pictured my fairytale life to be‘, so Oprah ended part 1 of her interview with Kim by asking, ‘Is Kanye West the new fairy tale’?

Marrying My Ex Husband Was The Greatest Mistake Of My Life....I Married Him Out Of Sympathy...........Drummer Ara
| Ara 'n' her ex husband Talented drummer Ara granted Vanguard an interview recently where she talked about her failed marriage, the revelation that love isn't the reason why she got married to her ex husband, why she does not want her ex husband around her son , amongst other shocking revelations. So, you probably asked God for a husband too? I didn’t. You didn’t ask God for a husband? No, I didn’t ask God for my ex-husband. At that point in time, I didn’t more after the jump see any need to ask and that was the greatest mistake of my life. You walked into it with your eyes shut? Yes, I did. You were at the peak of your career and all of a sudden one heard that you were getting married and nothing was heard of the guy before. What did you see in him? There’s so much I can’t talk about on the pages of newspapers. But at that time, some things were programmed and you can’t walk away from it. The major thing was that I was leaving things with my management for years and was shielded from the world. I had no friend, I didn’t socialize. And I wasn’t allowed to do so not because I didn’t want to. Even my parents did not have easy access to me during that time. It was that bad. At a point, I was told he was the best for me, that nobody loved me and wished me well, that the only person that wished me well was my management. And of course, I bought the story. It got to a point that my mother fought her way backl into my life as she refused to go and I really appreciated her coming into my life at that point in time. I tried dating during that period but it didn’t click. This guy was somebody I’d dated between 1994 and 1995 before he left the country. He messed up in the process, causing our break up. Later, he returned to me and I forgave him. But he messed up again and I forgave him again. After a while, he left Nigeria and I told myself that I was done with the relationship. But it then came to a point, when I needed a shoulder to lean on and he was the only one who could stand the pressure from my management. So, I found in him a friend again, somebody I could naturally share my problems with. But naturally, he would never have been my choice in terms of my kind of man. It happened that he was the only one around me at that time I could talk to because I realized a lot of things went wrong with my management deal and set up. So, naturally, I gravitated towards him. So you married him out of sympathy? Yes that was part of it but there’s more to it that I can’t talk about. So finally, it ended. How did that feel? It hurts for one reason because I never prayed for my child to come from a broken home. I regretted the marriage and everything but I don’t regret my son. My son came to me at a time I needed someone of mine. But now, he can’t see his dad the way I would have wanted him to because I’m separated from his dad. But you’re still very good friends I wouldn’t say we are good friends at the moment, but we tolerate each other because sometimes he needs to speak with his son and I wouldn’t deny him access to the boy. Recently, he had another baby from another woman and I cut off from him totally because this is Nigeria and I need to protect my son and myself. I wouldn’t want a situation where his new woman would think her man is coming back to me. She ’ll see me as a threat to having her way in the man’s life. The moment he had another son, I warned him to stop calling my son the way he used to, not because I don’t want him to but because I don’t want to have problem s with any woman. Does he take responsibility? Not at all. I’ve been the sole provider for my son. You talk like someone who isn’t interested in any relationship again? I wouldn’t say I’m seeing anyone at the moment. I wish I could. I want to but I don’t know who to trust and I can’t allow anybody into my life because I’m answerable to my son. I can’t afford to allow him see many men in my life. I want him to grow up knowing that I’m a responsible mum who did everything to give him the best in life. The father isn’t there so I’m both the father and the mother. I have so many men who are saying they love me but I don’t know them. I want to know them but I sense that they are not genuine. They just want Ara but people would say how would I know them if I don’t give them a chance. But the thing is that I smell a rat. My heart was broken and I’m a very emotional person. I’m sensitive and naturally show so much love and I want it too. But I find it difficult to see love around me. I keep saying that my sister-in-laws are lucky to have my brothers because I see the way my brothers treat their wives but I don’t see most of it out there. And because I look younger than my age, I get more of younger toasters and I can’t do that. Talking about love, is it that while growing up, you lacked love? There was love in my family. I’m my father’s ‘last wife’ because I’m very close to him. Like I said, my sister-in-laws are lucky to have my brothers because they saw a love-filled environment My brothers understand what it means to take care of a woman. So what it means is that, let me just say that I find it difficult to trust. I’m not trusting and anyone shouldn’t blame me. There’s so much pressure on me from men but I’m just not seeing it now. You’re not available for now? I am but I’m not trusting. Of all instruments, why did you pick the love for percussion? I don’t know where I picked that up from. Does anyone play that in your family? Except in my extended family, my mother’s side. I grew up in Warri and from my primary school, I’ve been the head of the cultural group. In Akura where I schooled, I was the social prefect, the head drummer. I won a lot of competitions, beating all the boys hands down. How has being a female talking drummer affected you? When people see me, they just make their hands into the talking drum and I just laugh. People go crazy about me especially women. You know men pretend a lot. It has opened doors for me and that’s the instrument God used to bring me out. It has brought about positive returns in my life and I thank God. In your time, female artistes aren’t so many. So how do you feel to see that female artistes are everywhere? It’s a thing of joy and pride but if I say that all of them are still single ladies and are still paying their dues, I’m watching them and happy for them. But I’m praying that they won’t make the mistakes people like us have made. I was with the Ibru sisters last week and was telling them my personal experience. They were shocked that I went through all I went through and I’m still standing. What were you telling them? I was telling them what I experienced in my marriage. Even the men I opened up to couldn’t believe I went through all I did and I’m still able to do all I do on stage. Was your experience that bad? Yes it was bad. Was he a wife beater? I don’t want to talk about it. You’re recording so I can’t talk. |

Where Are They Selling Marriage So I Can Go And Shop For It ............ Princess
Comedienne Princess Damilola Adekoya who goes by the stage name Princess granted Punch an interview recently where she talked about when she would get marriage, the day she was robbed and her plans for the future.
How I was robbed
It was on Valentine’s Day, around 2 am. About 15 men came with some gadgets, cut the burglary proof and entered my residence. They even said they knew me. They said they saw me on TV all the time and that I always made them laugh. But they said they wanted money in order to survive. They didn’t harm us. They just stripped the whole house. They apologised for what they put me through and said they just wanted to make some money for food. They were polite. I was
more after the jump
jittery and tensed up, but they kept on calming me. They spent more than two hours in the house. They asked if I had gold, but I told them I don’t wear gold. They searched for money. I gave them what I had. They said they expected to find more money because I had participated in the Gulder Ultimate Search reality show. But I told them the show had taken place the previous year.
Comediennes in Nigeria
Everybody started this business at different times. In life, there is always a time for somebody to rule the comedy industry. Ali Baba ruled for some time. Then it was Seyi Law’s turn. And there was a time when Princess reigned, too. I don’t think one comedian will reign for 10 years. We will all remain relevant. There are more than 100 comedians and just four females in this business. All the four are relevant. Just as the comedians are doing well, the females are succeeding as well. Only a few comedians host annual shows because it requires big funding. Everybody hopes to get better. I don’t attempt comparisons between two comedians. What constitutes the strength of one may be another comedian’s weakness. The things that make Ali Baba what he is today are very peculiar to him and they are different from the things that make Basket Mouth or even Princess what they are today. In whatever we are doing, the comediennes have tried to make their mark. It is not as if women don’t want to be in comedy, it is just that they are more practical than the men. A lot of people come and tell you they are comedians, but when they perform, you will wonder if they didn’t check themselves well. Comedy is not really what you can just learn; it has to be in-born. Comedy is a full time job. I cannot say it is the easiest thing to do because it requires a lot of time. I think everything depends on time. But we will get there.
Life as a comedienne
I am fulfilled as a comedienne. I wouldn’t be a comedienne, if I wasn’t comfortable with being one. The job description is to make people laugh. We also try to re-invent ourselves, to learn more and improve on everything we do. It is not an easy task, but it is a great job. If you get into a profession because of money and you don’t get what you are looking for, then you would be like fish out of water. I got into the industry when it wasn’t as big as it is today. People didn’t see it as a job. I didn’t care. Some people were doing it then. Julius Agwu was there. Gandoki and Tee A were also there. There was a lot of criticism. People wondered what I could say that would be funny. People tried to discourage me. But I’m the kind of person who doesn’t allow anybody to discourage me from doing what I have already set out to do. I didn’t allow all that to get to me. I am happy. There are challenges in every profession. If you are in a profession for the wrong reasons, you will fall by the way side, while the others move on.
Scandals
I don’t have the time to listen to what is being said about me. I am a very busy person. I have to be at the stadium very early for my training before I get into my normal duties. If you keep peddling false rumours about somebody else, your life will become rubbish one day. They said I was camped in a hotel for one week for a romantic getaway. It was a bloody lie. I was only shooting a movie in the hotel. The likes of Desmond Elliot were a part of the movie.

Ramsey Noah Talks About Humble Beginnings, To Quit Acting Soon
Nollywood hot eye candy Ramsey Noah granted online magazine NaijaBB an interview recently where he talked about how he started out, his extremely humble beginnings (dude could not afford a television set) and why he is not keen on working in Hollywood. Enjoy.......
How would you assess the industry now, after almost 20 years on the scene?
In the beginning, nobody knew that it was going to be this big. Back then, when we started off, we had good content, storyline, production, and acting. You would actually think that with time it would get better, but unfortunately there are so many obstacles with anything good. The changes in policy [and in] government, etc has affected the industry. Also there was a huge break out of piracy, which of course affected it adversely.
How have the lack of effective regulatory bodies affected the industry?
Regulatory bodies are needed in any industry in the world, not just in film. Indeed, we do not have that, and you can blame that on many factors. It is a chain reaction that’s affecting us on many fronts. Our guilds, for instance, are not very effective in making these things work. Also, we are not unified; there is no unity among most of the actors, unlike in the music sector. If we all come together as one and find a unifying front, we will make it happen.
How true is it that some film makers have become more determined to make good movies? Everybody is talking about having fantastic productions. For instance, here in Ibadan, we are shooting a very strong movie about the assassination of Murtala Mohammed, [which] is a very sensitive issue. We’ve been planning this since 2001, but we didn’t get permission from the military, which stalled it. However, we finally have the approval and we are getting on board. A very
more after the jump
good movie will stand the test of time, the type we can keep in the archives and people will refer to it later and commend it. The type my grand-children will see and [say] ‘yeah that’s my granddad, they revolutionised the industry’.
Did you model yourself after any particular actor when starting out?
Not exactly. When I got into acting, there was nobody to really model myself after, I mean I grew up with the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone. But you know we don’t do action films, so I couldn’t possibly tell you that I was looking up to these actors.
What about others like al pacino, robert de niro…
Well, I wasn’t privy to those films at the time. I grew up not having a lot. Television was like a huge luxury at the time. It was when I bumped into people watching movies outside that I got the opportunity to see some films. James Bond was one of the very popular ones at the time. But I didn’t even think I was going to act. Back then, most of the people who were acting in Nigeria were Theatre arts graduates or students who were fantastic actors. Before then, there were soaps like ‘Ripples’, ‘Checkmate’ and the like. It was after I got into acting that I could actually say ‘Oh yeah, I like Al Pacino’.
At what point did you realize you were no longer a ‘regular’ guy?
After ‘Fortunes’, people, when they saw me would go wild and start calling me ‘Jeff Akin Thomas’, which was the character I played on ‘Fortunes’. I used to get upset, and I couldn’t handle it. I didn’t know that that was what followed fame, but I didn’t understand it at the time, I didn’t understand what it was to be famous.
Was it because you were a recluse?
No, on the contrary, I was the boisterous type. It ‘s just that I didn’t have the privilege of seeing the things of life from an early age because I grew up not having [a lot], and for me, it’s a fantastic balance because it made me grounded and focused. But I like that, [because] seeing both sides of the coin has helped me.
How has your experience helped in your kids upbringing?
It’s about personal training. Of course I wouldn’t want a situation where I wouldn’t be able to provide for my kid, but I wouldn’t just provide everything he asks for, because it would be silly for me to just let him have anything he wants at his beck and call.
What if your kid wants to go into acting?
I don’t have any reservations about that. I’m a very free and liberal minded person. But I wouldn’t really want them to go into the movie industry.
Nigerian movie industry you mean?
Well, to me, there is only one movie industry, and that is the Nigerian one. That’s my opinion, of course, because I know a whole lot of people are targeting Hollywood. But for me, I’m not keen on getting into Hollywood. I’m of the opinion that ‘Nollywood’ will get to a point where it will be very big sometime soon. Don’t forget, most of the people targeting Hollywood are doing so because of the pay, and then maybe the fame on a much bigger stage. For me, however, I think the fame I already have on the platform of ‘Nollywood’ suffices.
Are you quitting acting?
I think I’ve had my fair share. To my fans and loved ones, I know they’ll always want to see me on screen, but as they say, it’s best to leave when the ovation is loudest. I want to leave a very strong legacy. I believe I have left a very strong imprint in that line. There’s no possible way you can mention ‘Nollywood’ without mentioning Ramsey Nouah.
So what’s next for you?
Well, I’ll be going behind the scenes. I’ll still be acting a bit here and there, but it will phase out for directing eventually. For a while now, I’ve not really been on the screen, and that’s because I don’t want to act just because I want to be on TV. I only want to be associated with the kind of movies that are poised to take the industry to another level, which is were we are headed now. Plus, I want to focus on working behind the scenes.
How do you find time to unwind?
Well, I don’t normally get to have that family time which I really crave, and when I do take my family on vacation, it usually turns out not to be the way I had hoped. Sometimes, you’re just relaxing with family in a nice, quiet place, and next thing you know, someone wants to have a picture with you. I kindly tell them ‘if I oblige you, I can’t turn the other down, so it’s best not to start at all.’ Then of course you know Nigerians, they are quick to jump to conclusions, and say you’re not being considerate and all. It has to be about them all the time, and once it doesn’t favour them, it becomes an issue.
Is that why people think you are snobbish?
Yeah. But you can’t please everybody. Being a star or role model doesn’t mean I’m not human too. I’m not Jesus Christ, I’m a human being like everybody else, I have blood flowing in my veins. Some people however don’t understand it, it’s only what they want that counts, not what you want.
Why do you rarely attend red carpet events?
I consciously hide away. I also hardly grant interviews, except to renowned and dignified media channels; the types that don’t carry stories just to sell their paper. I try as much as possible to avoid public events, and that has helped me keep my head above water over time.
What else will you be doing once you step away from the screen?
Humanitarian activities and charitable ventures. I started a project at one point in time, but due to circumstances I wasn’t able to see it through, so it didn’t see the light of day, but I’m working on that now and getting the resources together. Like I said, I grew up not having much, so I know the pains. Sometimes you want to help, but greedy people hijack it and in the end, the people who really need the help don’t get it.

Quote Of The Day: I Have Sex Three Times A Day.....African China
Nigerian musician African China granted Entertainment Express an interview recently. He was asked some questions including the one below. Excerpts...........
How much do you love sex?
I like sex? That thing good for health, haba! Doctors prescribe it. I take a shot in the morning, afternoon and another session in the night. I don’t joke with sex. But early in life, my father tried to shield me from going wayward with women. When I was 10, my father lied to me; he said that if my body touch a woman’s body she would be impregnated. The day I knew the truth, I was at first angry with him for having lied to me, but later I laughed at him. I realized he was trying to protect me. All the same I am careful with women –if you are not careful, women will kill you.
Which female celebrity do you have a crush on?
Rihanna. If I meet Rihanna to day and we are able to establish a rapport, oh I will f*** her.

Nollywood Actress Stella Damasus Addresses The Rumour About Her Dating Richard Mofe Damijo.... "My Husband read it, went into the bathroom ......."
There was this story that RMD and I was seen doing something in a car at the Bar Beach, a very untrue and painful story. I cried when that rumour filtered into my ear. We were shooting a film - a bar beach scene. Before we started shooting, my late husband told me that he missed his flight and he asked me where I was and I said I was shooting at the beach.
He then called his assistant to pick him from the airport and they came

straight to my location. I remember my husband bought Agege bread for everybody on location. We were all there, we ate Agege bread, crossed to the other side, shot some scenes and then we came back to him before he asked me to go for a meeting and that he’d go home.
A week later, Richard called me to read one paper because people had been blasting him that he did a bad thing. I was reading it and saying Oh! who could have written this thing about this man. But suddenly, as I read on, I discovered the woman they wrote about with RMD was me. I went mad and I started shivering.
I drove home immediately and showed my husband, he read it, went into the bathroom and he came out laughing and I asked, “why are you laughing, I’m not finding this thing funny. I’m going to fight these people”. I was just sobbing and asking “God why me?”
He said, “cool down, who are you going to fight, can’t you see the date they put here, that was the day I came to spend time with you at the bar beach, I came there with my assistant, so why are you killing yourself?
Is it about what people are saying or what I think of you or the truth that you know? How many people do you want to go and start fighting?”
That was the same time people were saying my husband had stopped me from acting. I actually stopped then because the rumours and lies about me coming from the media were just too much for me? It was a very painful and devastating period in my life.

DMX Breaks Down.... My Mum Never Told Me She Loves Me (Video)
Personally am not one to really judge people . Except you are a bloody ass without a reason for it, I feel there is a reason why people act in a certain way.
When i saw this video, i felt sorry for rapper DMX. It is strange how he never heard something as simple as I love you from his mum.
The star revealed this in an episode of Vh1′s new show ‘Couple’s Therapy’. The rapper is trying to work things out on the show with his wife Tashera. According to him...........
I use to always turn to drugs when I was feeling a certain way and now I’m not doing that. Sometimes when the pressure builds up I call ‘bino’ and be like, “I just wanted to say, “Mommy.” I wanted to say that word; ‘Mommy’!, not my mother. I wanted to say ‘mommy’. I just wanted to say ‘Hi’ to her because I haven’t talked to her in years. I just wanted to say, “Hi Mommy, I love you.”
You never got to have that experience?
No and she had not once ever told me that she loved me. (starts crying). You know what I think a lot of people lose sight of the fact that, no matter how strong you are as a man, no matter how tough you are, we all need to be somebody’s baby.

Jada Pinkette Smith Finally Addresses Divorce Rumours
“Every year, a celebrity couple is on the radar. This year, unluckily, it’s us! I almost want to say that we should have been expecting it. “But Will and I know the truth. We are waiting peacefully for when the storm ends.”
“These rumors are completely untrue. I’m travelling a lot because of my work, as Will does. And the fact that I’m accompanying our daughter, Willow, on her trips, while Will spends time with our son, Jaden, doesn’t make things easier.”
“But our way of living hasn’t changed. Before the children, we were already away from each other quite often because of our work. In general, Will and I take two months of holiday, at the end of the year. Right after Thanksgiving, we shut down the curtain and nothing comes to bother our family life until January.”
