Two Students Killed In Cult Clash At Fidei Polytechnic, Gboko

Two students of Fidei Polytechnic, Gboko have been confirmed dead in a cult related crisis that engulfed the institution yesterday.
The death occurred against the backdrop of reports that the Benue State Police Command  recovered a box full of AK 47 live ammunition  from four suspects who were hauling the arms to the crisis torn Eggon and Alaago communities of Nasarawa State.
Briefing newsmen yesterday on the two incidents, the Deputy Police Public Relations Officer for Benue State, ASP  Ejike Alaribe said the police in Gboko last night received a report that two suspected cultists had at 8pm stormed the home of two students of Fidei Polytechnic and shot one of them whose

Alaribe noted that Akawa died before he could receive medical attention,  adding that when the news of his death filtered into the institution, students mobilized themselves and went after the assailants.
According to him, “They caught up with the two suspects who were identified as being responsible for the shooting, matcheted one of them to death but the police arrived the scene before they meted out jungle justice on the other”.
Alaribe said further that two other suspects identified as having a hand in the shooting were also arrested by the police.
On the recovered box of AK47 live ammunition, he said, the four suspects were arrested with the ammunition along the Makurdi-Lafia road by men of the joint operation task force christened ‘Operation Zenda” following a directive by the state Commisdioner of Police that patrols be intensified throughout the state.
He said the suspects who were riding in a Peugeot wagon with registration number Lagos, BE 222 KRD were flagged down for routine check by the security operatives but declined.
”Our men pursued them; they tried to run into the bush, but our men caught up with them and arrested them with minimal force and when a thorough search was conducted on the car and the suspects, the box of live ammunition, charms, knives, N96,500 cash, and three hand sets were recovered from the suspects”, the Deputy PPRO added.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are getting divorced after 5 years of marriage. Katie's attorney, Jonathan Wolfe released a statement saying, "This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family."

Wolfe adds, "Katie's primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter's best interest."

It's unclear if divorce papers have been filed with the court. Tom and Katie have one child together, Suri, who is 6-years-old.

Ola is in a critical condition as I write. He is under serious intensive care in a hospital around Igando area of Lagos. His step-mum who works with the Lagos Internal Revenue Service took laws into and hands and punished him for beating her little daughter by pouring hot water on him while asleep.

neighbors tried to stop her, and she started scattering the house and even broke bottles. My uncle who also lives around was able to drag her away from the house, and she slept
over at his’ that night. I was still sleeping on my bed the next morning, when I she walked into my room and bathed me with hot water; I staggered to the living room and saw my father and uncle. That was the last I remembered before I passed out and woke at the hospital.

The father said his brother came into the house around 4:30am the next morning to settle the rift that occurred the previous day; they all sat in the living room, when the wife stood up and went into the kitchen. She was going in and out, and they thought she was preparing herself for work, not until Ola walked out of the room, looking weak and skin peeled, and fainted on the ground. We quickly rushed him to the hospital, while she stood staring and mocking him for calling out for help.
The case has been reported at the police station, while the boy is still at the hospital wallowing in serious pain, and the step-mum on the run.

Pastor Chris Okotie's Four Year Marriage Crashes + Releases Official Statement

 Pastor Chris Okotie of Household of God has announced his separation from his wife Stephanie Henshaw. The pastor tied the knot with Stephanie who was a widow until her marriage to him four years ago after his marriage to his first wife crashed.

A 26 year old Kelechi Duru from Imo state was brutally thrown out of the window by a Thai police officer where he lives in Bangkok on the 4th of June 2012.

However, the embassy of Nigeria here in Thailand is aware of this ugly incident and they visited the scene of the incident but nothing has been done to bring the culprit to book.
This is the 4th person who has been killed in a similar circumstance yet Nigeria did not do anything, to our dismay the following day it was announced by Thai media that Kelechi committed suicide.

Femi Falana Demands Identity Of VIP Who Closed Airspace For 30 Minutes

 Lagos lawyer  Femi Falana has asked the Federal Government to reveal the identity of the VIP whose movement caused the partial closure of the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja, last Tuesday.

Remember a similar allegation was made against Dame Patience Jonathan when the Dana plane crashed, killing everyone on board but the presidency promptly denied it. Read his letter below.

Gun Shots And Bomb Explosions Rock Damaturu, Yobe State

Barely 24 hours after bomb explosions rocked Kaduna State, leaving people dead, there are reports that gun shots and bomb explosions are currently rocking Damaturu in Yobe State.

The attacks are said to have  started around 5.00pm today. According to witnesses the Joint Military Task Force (JTF) and suspected Boko Haram members are engaged in serious gun battle in the Sabon Pegi area, which is very close to the residence of Gov. Ibrahim Geidam.

Sources confirmed that residents are taking refugee in various areas throughout the city.

I wonder when we would stop hearing stories like this.

Chinese Woman Forced To Abort Her 7 Month Old Baby

A Chinese woman Feng Jianmei 27, was forced to abort her baby by Chinese officials for violating the one child policy. Feng already has a 5 year old daughter.

 According to reports she was forcibly injected with a chemical to induce an abortion and her child was stillborn 36 hours later at a hospital in Shaanxi province.

Churches Bombed In Kaduna State

  Three churches were bombed today in Kaduna State. About 8 lives were reportedly lost in the incidence.

Mr Farouk Lawan Released On Bail + Details Of TheTape Emerge “He hid the money in his cap and put it on his head”

 Embattled member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Farouk Lawan has been released on bail.

Mr Lawan who is the key player in the $620, 000 bribery scandal was asked to come back for questioning with the $620,000  he admitted he collected.

Meanwhile details of the contents of the tape Mr Otedola gave to the police has been leaked. Someone who saw the tape revealed some of the contents of the tape to the media and let's say if what the sources are alleging is true, this is not really ....... well let's just say Mr Lawan would definitely do anything to make sure the video does not get out.

According to the report;
There were about five video recordings, each of them about 5-8 minutes long. Thanks to officials from the State Security Service (SSS), Femi Otedola’s house in Asokoro Abuja was fitted with audio and visual recording devices.

The lawmaker negotiated the terms of the bribe with Mr. Otedola over a lunch on the first visit, the sources said. He later received the first part of $250,000 on the second visit, which was around 11 p.m.

On one of the visits, Farouk came in, sat by Otedola’s right, sorted the huge pile of dollar bills and put some in his pockets,” a source said, citing visual details of the video.
Dressed in a green agbada and a sokoto cap, the sources said, Mr. Lawan stuffed the wads in his pockets and under the cap possibly to conceal the package from Mr. Otedola’s domestic aides since they hadn’t seen him enter with a baggage.

Another source told of an audio telephone recording, where Mr. Otedola informed Mr. Lawan that the bribe cash had arrived at the Abuja airport, and that the lawmaker should drive there to pick the package up.
The Committe chairman reportedly responded that he won’t be able to make it to the airport himself but that he could send some of his aides along to pick the package.

The video clip of the bribe payment, has been shown to only a few highly-placed Nigerians. They include President Goodluck Jonathan, Vice president Namadi Sambo, President of the Senate, David Mark, and the Speaker of the House, Aminu Tambuwal.
It was also reportedly played to Nobel Laureate and social campaigner, Wole Soyinka, the only non-government figure to view the footage.
Mr. Soyinka had vowed to lead a devastating street protest if the subsidy scam report, produced by Mr. Lawan’s committee, was swept under the carpet.
But after viewing the clip, a shocked Mr. Soyinka said he had never seen a thing like that and appeared to be backing down, the sources said.
