Must Watch: Video Of The Fight That Led To D'banj And Don Jazzy's Eventual Seperation

It is no longer news that popular musicians/business partners/best buddies Don Jazzy and D'banj are no longer in speaking terms. We can't forget how surprised we were when D'banj claimed that he owns Mo'hits music label.
What most people are unaware about howeer, is the fact that the two musicians had a big fight prompting D'banj to change the locks to the house the two former best buddies and other label mates  once shared . This action by D'banj saw  Don Jazzy initially moving to Dr Sid's apartment then to his own multi million Naira apartment he is reportedly renting in NICON estate Lekki.

Men Who Feel Actresses Don’t Make Good Wives Have A Complex –Ebube Nwagbo

Curvy  Nollywood actress Ebube Nwagbo granted an interview recently where she talked about her relationship with Kingsley of KC Presh, celebrity marriages and when she would tie the knot. Excerpts.........

On  relationship with Kingsley of KC Presh
I have no regrets for not marrying Kingsley. We are both happy people living our lives separately and we are still very good friends. Even relationships that are not in the public eye break up, let alone what we both had. It is the nature of our jobs.

Marriage
I won’t tell you who I am dating at present. As a

more after the jump

young lady, marriage should be on my agenda. But it is not top priority right now. I shall get married when I am ready for it.

Celebrity marriages
Nollywood is not synonymous with failed marriages. It happens everywhere and nobody goes into marriage hoping to break out of it. It’s not a good thing for a marriage to break up. But we cannot dictate what happens in our lives. We do the best we can and leave the rest to God. Marriage is a union of two different people with different backgrounds. It is not easy at all. We just have to look up to God for his guidance. I am not single because I am an actress. That is not true. The fact that you an actress is no reason why a man should not marry you. Acting is your job, just as other people have their own jobs. Maybe the men who feel actresses don’t make good wives have a complex, after all. Many colleagues of mine are married. It is all about getting someone who will trust and believe in you, as well as appreciate what you do.

"I Forgive You".....Mum Says After Coming Face To Face With Son's Killer

She imagined he would be a monster. But when she sat face-to-face with her son’s killer, all Grace Idowu saw was a sobbing little boy.
Most parents would never want to take a second look at the person who took their precious child away from them.
But Grace, 52, made the bold decision to go and visit Elijah Dayoni in prison after he brutally knifed her 14-year-old son David to death.
And today she insists she has totally forgiven Dayoni for what he did… and wants to help him become a better person.
She says that, rather than being met by a cold, calculated killer, Dayoni, 16 at the time, was full of remorse and desperate to make amends for his heinous crime.
“I needed to find out the truth,” says Grace. “He destroyed my family and I needed to know why.”
Dayoni stabbed star student David through the heart after a petty argument at a basketball court in Southwark, South London in June 2008.
He was

more after the jump

caught on CCTV laughing and smiling as he fled. When caught two days later he was still wearing a white top with David’s blood on it. David, a devout Christian who wanted to be an aeronautical engineer, died three weeks later.
Dayoni was sentenced to a minimum 12 years and supermarket worker Grace recently travelled to Bristol to see him in the prison chapel.
“He was very emotional and upset, crying,” she says. “I could tell instantly he regretted doing what he did, and not just because he was in prison. I asked him if he knew David and he said he didn’t.
“So I asked him why he had done what he had done.
“He said he was out with a group of friends from his school. One recognised David as being from a rival school. He said that was why he did it. He had fallen in with the wrong people and asked me to forgive him.
“For me forgiveness is part of my faith and is unconditional. It wasn’t really difficult for me.
“David would have turned 19 this year, doing his A-levels, planning to go to university. We miss him every second of every day.
“I know he is watching over us. I want me and Elijah to work together to help him change in the future. But I want our meeting to settle in before I speak to him again.”
Grace requested the visit as part of the Restorative Justice programme which tries to teach offenders the error of their ways.
She said, “The police believed it would help Elijah learn the effect his actions have had on me and my family.”
She spoke out as she joined two other families, surgeons and police to help launch a campaign in schools to beat knife crime. Grace stood with Barry Mizen and Shakira Olumegbon, whose sons were also stabbed to death by youths (see below). Knife crime has spiralled out of control in Britain with 5,000 people treated for stab wounds in hospital every year. .
Barry Mizen and wife Margaret became passionate campaigners after son Jimmy was stabbed the day after his 16th birthday. Jake Fahri, 19, threw a glass tray at Jimmy that severed his jugular vein in Lee, South London in 2008. He got a minimum 14 years.
Barry, 60, a shoe mender, said, “Too much attention is focused on retribution for a crime. In the case of Jimmy’s attacker, everyone is keen to know he is going to spend 20 years behind bars. If there had been so much interest concentrated on him in his first 20 years, I believe my son might still be alive today.
“In Jimmy’s short life, he was loved and cared for. I don’t think his attacker, or all those like him, knew anything so precious.”
The family of Zac Olumegbon, 15, stabbed in front of his school in 2010, say pupils face a daily battle to avoid being knifed in some areas. Brother Debo, 26, said: “It simply should not be happening.”

Halle Berry Flashes Her Emerald Engagement Ring

Halle Berry was spotted recently out and about with her engagement ring. The ring was designed by Robert Mazlo a fact that confirmed by her fiance Oliver Martinez. In an interview with miami.com, the actor/restauranteur/Kylie Minogue's ex  Martinez told the paper the ring was actually designed by Parisian jeweler Robert Mazlo, "a real artist" whose family has designed jewelry for European royalty for hundreds of years. He had to state the record straight because another jeweller was taking credit for it.
Halle's marriage to Oliver will be her third.

Owner Of Popular Upscale Fashion Boutique, Le'space Accused Of 'Rocking and Selling'

You just have to love twitter. Anything you can not wait to settle physically you settle it on Twiiter. As a matter of fact why waste time meeting physically when you can attack and bash you can air your views in less than a few seconds. Just bring out your BB, Ipad, Iphone, Nokia ...gbogbegbogboe and start.......... welll whatever it is you want to start.

Today's twitter drama is between fashion blogger Terrance Sambo of OneNigerianBoy, the owners of fashion retail boutique Le'space Wonuola Odunsi and Isoken Ogiemwonyi and Wana Sambo.Did not see any tweet from her so she is out of it .....well kinda.

It all started when Terrance accused Wonuola Odunsi {part owner Le'space} of wearing items meant for sale to red carpet events only for the clothes to be returned back to the shop for sale to by an unsuspecting customer.

AMFW 2012 Streetstyle: Errr not quite, Photo of L’Espace Owners Doing the ‘Rock & Re-Sell’
Wonuola Odunsi is pictured (the above pic) here during one of the days at Arise Fashion Week wearing items from one of the Labels that stock at their store. From what i gathered, this particular label has been at the store since inception and has not sold a dime but Wonu has been spotted  times wearing stuff that is supposed to be for sale to ‘Red Carpet’ events. This isn’t even WS Clothing company so they can’t even throw the brother allegations…I just want to know, is this right? These items of course get returned to the store for sale after been worn for hours at a time and exposed to body fluids.

The fight on twitter..........................

more tweets and their official statements after the jump

Le'space released an official statement........

“Addressing the various allegations and claims made by Terence Sambo of @OneNigerianBoy tonight, the L’Espace team is simultaneously shocked and saddened to hear that anyone feels this way and we assume this is based on a recent miscommunication with his designer sister of WSClothing Co. First off, we’d like to clear up a few things. On bearing zero risk – Millions of naira in initial investment is very far from being zero risk. Anyone who runs an SME in this particularly hostile environment, would beg to differ, and perhaps even take offence at this cavalier attitude towards the risk any entrepreneur takes. And ironically, the commission actually gives us MORE of an onus to sell, simply because if we don’t sell. We make nothing. The fee as is, is nominal at best. On stock – We require SIX pieces minimum. Whatever the designer decides to do upward of that is his/her decision. And to be precise, the store is 670 sqm in total. Abuse is a very strong term and as one of the core L’Espace team is a designer herself, we find it irresponsible that this word (which conjures up images of slavery and child labor) is being used in this context at all. On ‘ridiculous demands’ ….. At every point we try to involve our vendors in the process and attempt to be as flexible as we can. The rate we are asking plus commission is paltry and whilst it might seem monumental at first, designers NEED to break out of the cycle of ‘spend the cash flow’and living from order to order. Until you can produce and distribute at a certain level you will NEVER grow. On wannabe stylists …. It is clearly communicated to designers when their stuff is being used for an outside shoot or pulled by an outside stylist. However, when it is used for in-house content creation we assume notice is not necessary unless otherwise stated, simply because we are already liable for damage etc by default. For the record, we have worked with many ‘non-wannabe’ stylists Veronica Ebie-Odeka of Vane Style, Bolaji Animashaun, Lucy Love and Funmi SMD to name a few. On the following tweet most irritated by is dat they’re running d biz like dem guys in suits. Dere shld more soul since one of d owners is a designer 2 we will not be commenting because we feel it is unprofessional and the opinion of the blogger/tweeter, however misguided, is his own. In general … L’Espace is a 3 month old business with huge running costs. The initial business idea was based on the premise that most young, up and coming designers cannot afford the high rent and maintenance costs of a space like ours, hence the cooperative competition model. Unfortunately, should a designer be unable to cover the 50k+ sum plus commission, that is an indication that perhaps, the business is not quite ready to go past the incubator stage yet. Lastly, we are a growing business and try our very best to find a business model that works for all parties and will help our industry grow from where it really matters – commerce. We changed it a little to be more accommodating and we have been pleased with the results so far. We are understandably distraught that WSClothing Co will be leaving us momentarily, we wish you the best of luck going forward.”

Designer Wana Sambowho was thrown into the wholee wahala, also released a statement................

“On the 15th of Feb, 2012, Wana Sambo Clothing, a Womens wear brand, received an e-mail from L’espace, a multi-brand concept store/retail outlet located in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria, inviting Wana Sambo Clothing to retail at their store through a new revenue model they were testing.

On the 22nd of February, an agreement was entered stating Wana Sambo Clothing was to pay the following to be a part of L’espace:

a)     N50,000 as monthly rent
 b)     N15,000 as monthly service charge
 c)      Choose from either a 3 months or 6 months upfront payment option

Wana Sambo Clothing chose the 3months  upfront option and paid the sum of N195,000 on the 1st of march, 2012.

Wana Sambo clothing started retailing at L’espace 15th of March and on the 17th of March 2012, a sales report ending 17th of March 2012 was sent to Wana Sambo Clothing with a total of sales for that week.

By the 28th of March, Wana Sambo Clothing received a 2nd sales report ending the 24th of march and it stated the amount of sales made that week with a new term added to it: a 20% commission being taken off sales.  Also attached to that e-mail was an amended version of the first invoice WSC received which now had the total sales plus a 20% commission taken off it.  This meant that a 20% commission would be deducted weekly. Once this e-mail was received, Wana Sambo contacted L’espace to query this new term/development as this had never been stated in any of our written or verbal agreements and L’espace replied saying (a quote from the e-mail) “…the 20% commission was not included in the agreement because we are still testing the new revenue model…” I asked them to put a hold to any payments into my bank account from sales until I get back into the country, as they were aware I was away for a period of time. L’espace replied me the next day with a contract termination notice, making mention of their assumptions that One Nigerian Boy, a fashion blogger, who is also my brother, was sanctioned by my brand to launch a “guerilla attack” against them on twitter.

First of all, It was not stated by L’espace at any point that I would be paying a 20% WEEKLY commission on sales after my rent and service charge had been paid in full. I run my studio at No 11 Augustine Anozie street, Lekki Phase 1, Nigeria, agreeing to retail at L’espace was a way of giving clientele another point of purchase and it seemed a smart way to push for the growth my business.

I would like to make clear that I, Wana Sambo of Wana Sambo Clothing can not influence the topic of Fashion Blogger(s) either as a sister or as a designer in the Nigerian Fashion Industry. Terence Sambo of ONB is a Fashion Blogger and he is within his rights to discuss whatever issues concerning/affecting the fashion industry as he pleases, I cannot ask him to not do his job neither can I tell him how to do it. Mentioning the Wana Sambo brand in a press release about his tweets when he clearly made no mention of Wana Sambo Clothing as the source of his information, simply because he is my brother was most unprofessional.

In reference to a portion of their press release, L’espace attempted to slander the Wana Sambo brand, making all sorts of insinuations about the brand’s financial strength and moneys already paid to them.

L’espace publicly terminated our contract without facts and without giving notice based on the terms of the agreement by both parties. Wana Sambo Clothing has upheld every part of the agreement and L’espace has no right to terminate the contract. L’espace on the other hand has constantly violated the terms of the contract agreement by firstly taking a 20% commission from WSC sales without prior notice, secondly on the same day sending an e-mail saying “Your stock will be taken off the shop floor at 11am today” and “we are more than happy to terminate.” (Please note that I received this e-mail after they had already issued out a press release.)

I sent L’espace an e-mail asking them to take down the press release as it was wrongly aimed but they still have not up until now, 30th March, 2012 at 1:53am. Wana Sambo Clothing has also not gotten a reply to the e-mail sent to L’espace addressing this issue.

President Goodluck Jonathan Nominated For Time Magazine's Most Influential 2012

According to Time......
The twin imperatives of trying to end a bloody northern Nigeria Islamist rebellion led by Boko Haram and dismantle the fuel subsidies that are one of the country's main sources of corruption (but are also, awkwardly, generally popular for keeping gas prices low) requires bold leadership of Jonathan, who is finishing his first year in office. Whether Nigeria descends into civil unrest, civil war or splits, or whether it reforms and Africa's sleeping giant finally awakens, depends foremost on him.
Other nominees include President Barrack Obama, Drake, Adele,Warren Buffett,Beyonce, Hilary Clinton and a host of others.
The online poll ends on April 6. The selected 100 will be published on TIME.com on April 17.

Zac Efron for Penshoppe?

They recently gave us big stars like Ed Westwick and Mario Maurer, and now, news has it that Penshoppe's next endorser is none other than Zac Efron!!!

I was surprised when I read a friend's tweet about Zac being the new endorser of the local brand Penshoppe. Like, just years ago, I was thinking of a way how to meet Zac, and then I thought that the only way would be by going to Hollywood.

But this news is by far the craziest thing I've heard ever! I just can't think that this would ever happen!!!

Zac Efron is trending on Twitter Philippines.

Look at what people are tweeting about him...

They seem like what they're saying are true. I have never heard Zac endorsing a particular brand so if he'll endorse Penshoppe, that would really cost big bucks!!!

And ABS-CBN is tweeting about it as well. I just dunno if it's their real account or something.

But if this really happens, I know that I'll do anything just to meet him!

I am pretty sure you're thinking the same thing, so just keep it posted on the blog for more news about Zac being here in the Philippines, ok?

And if this really happens, I would forever be loyal to Penshoppe. I freakin' swear!!!

Oil And Gas Workers Are The Highest Paid In Nigeria? Find Out How Much People Really Earn In Nigeria

Have you ever wondered what sector of the economy has the highest earners? Well  the folks at Jobberman conducted an extensive survey recently and they came up with the following facts....

70% of employees in white collar jobs are male (thought women ran the world..... ladies we need to step up our game oh!!!!. No more brazillian hair....say yes to education ...... lool!!)

The most commonly employed skill set is Accounting/Finance followed by Administrative skills and IT skills.

Quote Of The Day: "The money actors earn per movie is what a stand-up-comedian will earn in one or two hours" ....Teju Babyface

"The money in acting is not worth it in this part of the world, the money they pay you to appear in a movie is not near what you earn in an afternoon of stand-up comedy.

The money per movie is what a stand-up comedian will earn in one or two hours.Except if they will start paying them N30million for a movie that will last for one month. For me the input is not equal to the output.

The output should be inversely proportional to the input, which means that if I should put in one hour of work I should earn exponentially. It should not be the other way round,I should not sleep away for a month and when the job comes I will earn meager.

I should do a movie and be able to tell myself that I am not going to work again till next one month and still be comfortable.I should be able to do a movie and buy a car, land or house somewhere.I shouldn’t have to do like ten movies and I am still at a place".

Richard Lee Norris Successfully Undergoes World’s Most Extensive Face Transplant...... Gets New Face, Tongue and Jaw

AFTER 15 YEARS of wearing a mask and living as a recluse, a 37-year-old Virginia man disfigured in a gun accident has been given a new face, nose, teeth and jaw in what physicians say is the most extensive face transplant ever performed.
Officials at the University of Maryland medical center say Richard Lee Norris is recovering well after last week’s surgery, already beginning to feel his face and already brushing his teeth and shaving.
He’s also regained his sense of smell, which he had lost after the accident.
Norris, who was selected from among five possible candidates for the surgery, has been living as a recluse, doing his

more after the jump

shopping at night. It’s hoped the transplant will give him his life back, said Dr Eduardo Rodriguez, the lead surgeon.
“It’s a surreal experience to look at him. It’s hard not to stare. Before, people used to stare at Richard because he wore a mask and they wanted to see the deformity,” Rodriguez said. “Now, they have another reason to stare at him, and it’s really amazing.”
Rodriguez showed a 1993 prom photo of Norris, “as we all want to be remembered,” beside a pre-transplant photo of Norris’ shortened face with a sunken mouth and flattened nose.
He then revealed a photo of Norris taken on Monday, where his face appears ordinary, other than stiches along his hairline and neck and scarring around his eyelids. Although he now has the donor’s face, he doesn’t resemble the donor, Rodriguez said.
“It’s a combination of two individuals, a true blend,” he said.

Limited senses

Norris’ vision was largely unaffected by the accident. Because of numerous reconstructive surgeries, his forehead and neck were mostly scar tissue. Norris had no teeth, no nose and only part of his tongue. He was still able to taste but could not smell.
“He could not smell for the past 15 years, and that was the most dramatic thing — immediately, on day three, he could finally smell,” Rodriguez said.
Doctors gave few details about the donor, citing the family’s desire for privacy. They said the donor’s organs went to several people.
But the donor’s family was consulted specifically about donating the face, said Charles Alexander, president of the Living Legacy Foundation. He said that consenting to be an organ donor does not automatically extend to face donations.
The 36-hour operation was the most extensive because it included transplantation of the teeth, upper and lower jaw, a portion of the tongue and all facial tissue from the scalp to the base of the neck, Rodriguez said. Because it included so much facial tissue, the incisions are farther back and less visible, he said.
The most dramatic moment came when the team had finished removing all the previous attempts at reconstruction. All Norris had left was a bit of tongue and minimal protection for his eyes. Rodriguez called it ‘the point of no return’.
“At that point, we had to be successful,” he said. Norris will require minor revisions, but those will be outpatient procedures, he said.

Amazing!!!!

Court Orders Fred Amata To Pay His Landlord N600.000 Within 14 Days

Nollywood actor /producer Fred Amata has been ordered to pay his lanlord N600,000 in rent arrears  owed him. The actor was dragged to court in September 2010 by his landlord, Pa I. Fadoyebo, who asked the court to help him repossess his house from the actor.
He claimed that Amata was owing arrears of rent on the four-bedroom bungalow he was occupying at No 8, Razaq Balogun St., Surulere, adding that the rent had accumulated from October 2009 to September 2010.
In his judgment, Magistrate Mukaila Fadeyi did not order Amata to vacate the property, but ordered him to pay the arrears within 14 days.
He blamed the lack of diligence prosecution on the part of Fadoyebo's counsel, Mr Y. A Adeshina, for the court’s inability to assist the landlord in re-possessing the house.
Fadeyi faulted the tenancy agreement signed between both parties, saying it was not dated while the seven-day quit notice was not served on Amata.
Fadoyebo had on Feb. 7 testified that Amata was a bad tenant who brought all manners of people into his compound.
Amata was not present throughout the court proceedings and neither he nor his counsel, Mr Chris Okoh, was in court when the judgment was delivered.
