Richard Gutierrez’ Gutz & Glory Scents Launch

Retail giant Bench launched Richard Gutierrez’ newest scents Gutz & Glory last April 27, 2012 at the Mall of Asia atrium.

The event was supposed to start at 6pm but I knew better. I knew that it wouldn’t really begin at 6pm so I was a bit late. Well, I was kinda wrong cuz the whole atrium was already filled with people! The show has not started yet, good thing. The only problem I had was how am I gonna be inside?

The first thing that struck me was the really loud music. And then (surprise! surprise!), Callum David was there DJing!

Also, I found out that these hot models were also inviting mallgoers to try the scents earlier… Darn!

Magically, I was able to get inside just fine. Not only that, I got to sit on the second row plus J. Co donuts and a Smart C drink! Thank you Bench for making me feel like a special guest!

Lights were already dimmed which means that the show was about to start.

The whole Gutierrez family was there to support Richard. Sweet!

Richard Gutierrez is All For Gutz & Glory

Last April 27, all roads lead to SM Mall of Asia. Mallgoers and shoppers has been treated to a day of surprises as Richard Gutierrez unveiled his latest project with Bench, his signature scent Gutz and Glory.

Richard is one of the most bankable male stars in the country, given that his TV shows rated well such as Mulawin, Captain Barbell, Zorro and Survivor Philippines while his movies made money in the box-office. He will be seen again in GMA’s latest offering, “Makapiling Kang Muli” pairing him with a new lead, Carla Abellana. Also, he will top bill a new documentary under the same network entitled “Pinoy Adventure”. Richard believes in the saying “no guts, no glory”, so he relies on his ‘guts’ to see room for growth and earn his ‘glory’ at the end of each undertaking.

Richard designed “Gutz” as an airy and incredibly fresh scent, very light thus ideal for daytime use. It has whiffs of aromatic Fougere, a mixture of lavender as top note and base notes of oak moss and coumarin, as well as additional notes of spice and wood. For “Glory”, Richard decided to make the fragrance richer by adding amber and citrus with the aromatic Fougere. Glory shouts for adventure, thus more appropriate when stepping out come nighttime and when someone heads out to paint the town red. Richard’s “Gutz & Glory” deo cologne is an extension of his persona since he was involved in every aspect of the project development. He himself gave directions, selected the fragrance notes and packaging for the two scents.

The Bench Empower Launch

Bench launches their latest celebrity scent- “Empower” with Dingdong Dantes as its endorser.

I am so disappointed that I have missed this event. Just look at the above picture! I have been hearing about the launch but I didn’t know that these guys would show up in there shirtless!

So the Bench people might have tweeted these pics before the event, but I was asleep that time. So that’s the reason why I missed those precious tweets! Oh I wish my Blackberry was smart enough to alert me of tweets about hunks. Lol!

Apparently, these male models have been encouraging everyone to come and watch the show which happened at 6pm last night.

Shirtless guys at the mall. Hmmm… I wonder how much chaos that would have been?

Great selection of models. Most of the models who were selected are Lloydy Gaga faves like Drew Rivera, Abs Abdelkader, and Mark McMahon.

This is the first time that Bench used shirtless men to promote their product. And I love it cuz it was like bringing Abercrombie and Fitch here in the Philippines! (I just hate that I missed it)

I remember when I saw these A&F pics, I told myself “When will this happen here in the Philippines?”. Having an A&F store would’ve been perfect but that’d take ages, I guess. Good thing Bench did a similar thing! But I wonder when they would do it again?
